Missioners' Corner
Welcome to the Triangle Islamic Center (TIC)
The Triangle Islamic Center is a vibrant hub for Islamic learning, community development, and youth empowerment in the RTP area. We are dedicated to fostering collaboration, integration, and growth among Muslims by offering weekly halaqas, youth programs, and weekend Islamic and Arabic education to both members and non-members. Our teachings are rooted in the Quran, Sunnah, and the guidance of the rightly guided companions (may Allah be pleased with them).
Our mission board consists of dedicated members with over 40 years of experience in dawah and Islamic activism—leaders who have served in MSAs, continue to study at Islamic institutes, and learn from both local and international scholars. Our youth development program is led by a professor of Islamic studies, and our weekend school is taught by qualified teachers with Ijazah in Arabic and Islamic studies. Additionally, our Hufadh of the Quran are actively giving back to the community by mentoring and teaching students.
Our young members have excelled in local, national, and international Quran competitions, including the Imam Shatibi International Quran Competition, MAS-ICNA Quran Competition, NCNMO National Quran Competition, and the annual competitions at IAR, Cary, Apex, and Al-Noor mosques.
At TIC, we uphold the principle of one ummah and encourage collaboration, as Allah says in the Quran:
"Indeed, this religion of yours is one, and I am your Lord, so worship Me." (Quran 21:92)
We value scholarship, diverse opinions, and respectful discourse while upholding the sanctity of the believer. Ibn Umar (RA) once said while looking at the Kaaba:
"How great you are, and how great is your sanctity! But the sanctity of the believer is even greater with Allah than you." (At-Tirmidhi)
We firmly reject extremism and follow the Quran’s guidance in adopting a balanced and just approach:
"Thus, We have made you a just and balanced nation." (Quran 2:143)
As the Prophet (SAW) also said:
"Religion is ease, and whoever overburdens himself in religion will not be able to continue in that way." (Sahih al-Bukhari)
TIC members actively serve the community in funeral services, security, youth education, and more—continuing to uplift the spiritual and educational development of the community. We strive to fulfill our role as Allah’s vicegerents on earth, working towards the growth of the Deen in the Triangle area.
Wa Salam Alaykum wa Rahmatullah
